5 Things you should know before having semi permanent make up
December 30, 2014
Before having semi permanent make up - you must do your research to find the right technician for you.
Here are some helpful pointers...
1, Correcting bad semi permanent make up, can cost you up to 3-4 times as much as having it done initially, so do your research on the technican, don't always go for the cheapest. Semi permanent make up doesn't come at a low cost.
2, There isn't any such thing as cheap semi permanent make up, proper trained and qualified technicians invest tens of thousands in thorough training and equipment. I personally would not like to have a tattoo carried out on my face with a cheap machine that was made in China! A decent machine will cost a technician £3500. A good technician will own a range of pigments, as well as numbing agents and single use needles of all different configurations, these alone cost over £1000.
3, Well trained technicians will always draw on your make up before treatment begins, this will allow you to advise on what you do and don't like. Treatment should not start until you are happy with the template.
4, Always go along for a consultation, this is good to see if you are comfortable with the technician and to ask any questions about the procedure; if you are happy you can then book an appointment. This way you are not pressurised into having the procedure.
5, Always browse previous work carried out by technicians, photographs on their website and Facebook pages.
I always like to meet and chat to my clients before any treatment appointments are booked.
I give every client a sensitivity test to carry out at home, for both the numbing cream and pigments.
It is always good to chat through expectations beforehand to make sure that these can be met.
